Description
The Surface Solar Radiation Data Set - Heliosat based on Meteosat-East (SARAH-E) is a satellite-based climate data record of the solar surface irradiance, the surface direct irradiance, the surface direct normalized irradiance derived from satellite observations of the visible channels of the MVIRI instruments onboard the geostationary Meteosat IODC satellites. The data are available from 1999 to 2016 and cover the region 8°W to 128°E longitude and ±65° latitude. The products are available as monthly and daily averages as well as on a hourly basis on a regular latitude/longitude grid with a spatial resolution of 0.05° x 0.05°. This data set includes the data from Edition 1.0 of the SARAH-E data record (DOI:10.5676/DWD/JECD/SARAH_E/V001).
